New Initiative Establishes Global Standards for the Emerging Specialty of Longevity Medicine

The American Board of Regenerative Medicine (ABRM) today announced the launch of the American Board of Longevity Medicine (ABLM), a new professional certifying body dedicated to establishing global standards in the rapidly evolving field of longevity medicine.

The creation of ABLM represents a significant milestone in the maturation of longevity medicine as a distinct medical specialty grounded in scientific evidence, rigorous physician education, and standardized clinical practice. As interest in healthy aging, preventive medicine, regenerative therapies, and lifespan optimization continues to accelerate worldwide, ABLM aims to provide a structured and evidence-based framework for physician competency, certification, and continuing professional development.

ABLM will focus on advancing the science and practice of longevity medicine through standardized educational pathways, assessment of clinical knowledge, and the promotion of ethical and evidence-driven care models. The organization’s mission is centered on ensuring that physicians practicing in the longevity medicine space meet the highest standards of scientific literacy, patient safety, clinical competency, and professional integrity.

“Longevity medicine is emerging as one of the most important frontiers in modern healthcare,” said a spokesperson for ABRM. “The launch of the American Board of Longevity Medicine reflects the growing need for internationally recognized standards that distinguish evidence-based medical practice from unvalidated or non-scientific approaches. ABLM is designed to provide physicians, institutions, and patients with confidence that certified professionals have met rigorous standards in knowledge, education, and clinical practice.”

The organization intends to serve as a global professional benchmark for physicians and healthcare professionals involved in healthy aging, regenerative medicine, preventive health optimization, metabolic health, precision medicine, and age-related disease prevention. Through its certification and educational initiatives, ABLM seeks to foster greater consistency in clinical practice while supporting ongoing scientific advancement in the field.
